The November
meeting of the SPF&G was called to
order at 7:00 pm by Vice
President Chuck Magoon
The October Secretary’s
report was amended to correct the name of Kim O’Connell.
The Treasurer’s
report was not available in detail.
Treasurer’s note : All Buck’s night
guns have been
paid for, there is a positive balance so far for Buck’s night.
Meeting Guests :

Committee Reports :
- Committee
reports for Senior Pontoon rides. Park Party, and Outreach were tabled.
- Bucks
Night : Workers have been assigned to man the various games at the
event. The 50 guns have all been
purchased. 90 items have been
purchased for the general raffle, we expect to have about 125 prizes
total. Gander Mountain
has donated a choice hunt, bow or muzzle loader, in Nebraska for the live auction. Confirmed attendance is about 210
people. The sponsors list was reviewed. A motion was made and approved to give
SPF&G logo shirts to members who work at Buck’s night, the shirts will
be available on Sunday or Monday
Setup will be at 3:00 on Sunday, workers will be able to have
dinner before the event at 4:45.
- Fisheries/Habitat
: Brush will be moved to the parking lot at the Biehl WPA, the club will
move the brush to the fish crib assembly area when possible. The fish cribs will be placed on the
rock pile area NW of Don Demulling’s.
GPS locations have been marked.
The plan is to build 40-50 cribs, with assembly done at the north
landing. Tentative dates for the
build and move of the cribs are the last week of January or the first week
of February, 2008.
- Cedar Bay landing work day was canceled
due to weather conditions. New
signs have been erected.
- Three
bids have been let for the driveway on the McMurtrie property, bid opening
will be on Nov.12. With good
weather, the work will be done this fall.
Old Business/New
Business:
1.
Nothing new on the north landing & the Cedar Lake
School.
2.
A start-up DU Banquet will be held on November
29 at Ready Randy’s.
3.
The club will build 25 wood duck houses to be
donated to the USF&W.
The next meeting of the SPF&GA is scheduled for Monday, December 17,
with the 6 pm social hour
and the 7 pm regular
meeting at Don Madsen’s on Cedar
Lake
With no further business the meeting was
adjourned at 8:06 pm.
